General

  1. Be nice to everybody and respect the hard work of other developers
  2. Please be professional when sharing Apps, know what you are writing and sharing.
  3. Respect the admins and moderators. Don’t argue with them, they are just doing their job. They are volunteers trying to keep OpenWare safe.
  4. OpenWare is strictly neutral platform, it has diverse userbase from different ethnicity, religions and beliefs. We don't tolerate any misleading, offensive and controversial contents.

Projects

  1. General Guidelines
    1. Project descriptions must be original, clear, and sufficiently detailed.
    2. The following content is not allowed in project listings:
      1. Harassment, hate speech, or abusive language
      2. NSFW or explicit content
      3. Political, controversial, or war-related material
      4. Unrelated or misleading information
    3. Projects must not contain malware, phishing, fraud, intrusive ads, or harmful behavior.
    4. Projects involving cheats, exploits, or illegal modifications (e.g. game hacks) are not permitted.
    5. Do not use copyrighted material without permission, including screenshots, icons, or logos.
    6. Do not promise future rewards (such as open-sourcing the app) in exchange for likes or comments.
  2. Graphics (Icons & Screenshots)
    1. All images must be relevant to the project.
    2. Do not use graphics that you do not own or have permission to use.
    3. Misleading, low-quality, or intentionally distracting icons are not allowed.
  3. Project Files & Ownership
    1. Uploaded projects must not be stolen.
    2. You may upload or reupload a project only if:
      1. You have made meaningful changes (bug fixes, improvements, or new features)
      2. The original project is already available on OpenWare or clearly referenced
      3. Proper credit is given to the original creator
      4. You are authorized to publish the project on behalf of the original author
    3. Simply changing the project name or theme colors is not considered a valid modification.
    4. Projects must provide actual functionality and not be intentionally incomplete or misleading.
    5. Sketchware projects should not contain excessive compile errors.
    6. Do not upload standalone or non-compilable files (APK, AAB, EXE) unless clearly required and explained.
  4. Project Review & Approval
    1. All submitted projects are first placed in a Pending state.
    2. Projects become publicly visible only after review and approval by a moderator or administrator.
    3. Approval may be delayed or denied if a project violates OpenWare policies.
  5. For verification or Editor’s Choice eligibility, please refer to our community forums.

Projects That Are Not Allowed

  1. Projects that generate fake financial data or bank cards
  2. Artificial engagement tools (e.g. view, like, or subscriber generators)

Category Exceptions

  1. Educational or example-based projects may be published under Examples & Tutorials, provided they are meaningful.
  2. Design-only projects without backend functionality may be listed under UI / UX.

User account/profile

  1. Do not impersonate other individuals, developers, or organizations.
  2. Profile content must remain appropriate and relevant.
  3. Creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions is not allowed.
  4. If your account is banned, you may submit an appeal by contacting us at sketchwarechannel@gmail.com.
  5. Accounts that violate OpenWare’s user policies may be restricted or removed.

Comments

  1. Keep comments relevant to the project. Off-topic discussions are not permitted.
  2. Promotion or advertising is allowed only within your own project’s comment section.
  3. Please do not interfere with moderation or review processes while issues are being handled.
  4. Do not request uploads of closed-source or proprietary applications.
  5. Avoid unnecessary mentions or pings.

Reports

  1. Reports should be submitted responsibly and only for valid concerns such as policy violations, security issues, or misleading information.
  2. Please do not report projects as stolen unless you are the original creator or have clear proof of ownership.
  3. In some cases, we may contact you for additional details. Prompt and clear responses help us review reports faster.
  4. All listed projects are free and open-source. Some may be under active development, so do not report apps solely because they are experimental or not yet fully stable.
